Ford Unveils Plans for a New Plant That Will Produce High-Tech Electrified and Autonomous Vehicles

For generations, Ford has paved the way for the automotive industry as a leading innovator and developer of new automotive technologies. Now, Ford is setting the standard again as they pledge to invest $700 million dollars and create 700 new jobs at a Michigan Assembly Plant that will be designed to produce "high-tech electrified and autonomous vehicles" along with the Ford Mustang and Lincoln Continental. The marketplace demands more alternative-fuel vehicles, and Ford is answering the call. Ford has recently made the commitment to producing seven of the 13 new global electrified vehicles that will be in production in the next five years, including the F-150 Hybrid. One example of the forward-thinking features that accompany this new electric technology is found on Ford F-150 Hybrid; Ford is proposing that the futuristic workhorse will be able to transform into a mobile generator, meaning job sites can be powered almost anywhere! There's a lot more to Ford's plans to roll out electrified vehicles globally, but right now we have a fantastic selection of new Ford vehicles here at Fox Ford Cadillac in Charlevoix, MI, including the new Ford F-150.
