The All-New Explorer Can be Equipped with Yakima Accessories

The upcoming 2020 Ford Explorer, which is due to arrive in dealerships this summer, promises to be a lighter, stronger version of the popular family-hauler. Now, Ford has announced that customers who love adventure can outfit their Explorer with a variety of Yakima vehicle accessories at the time of purchase. You can even include the cost of these accessories, which will be offered in our dealership, into your monthly financing plan!

The 2020 Explorer already offers even more standard features than previous versions came with, such as a power liftgate, FordPass™ Connect Wi-Fi service that hosts up to 10 devices at one time, and a SYNC® 3 infotainment system that boasts an 8-inch touchscreen. It's also powered by a range of strong EcoBoost® engines, and offered in the model's largest trim assortment ever.

Now add in the fact that you can choose from a Yakima catalog of accessories created specifically for the Explorer, which includes a variety of racks that transport kayaks, canoes, bicycles, snowboards, skis, and more, and you can see that the Explorer continues to build on its well-deserved reputation for getting you to the outdoor fun.

We spoke with the experts in our Finance Center about this news, and they confirmed that Yakima accessories will add value to the Explorer when it comes to reselling it, either to a dealership or in a private transaction.

In a press release, Craig Patterson, Ford SUV Brand Manager, remarked, "Explorer drivers are doers, they’re adventure-seekers. The availability of Yakima accessories in our Ford showrooms is one more way we can help people own the Explorer that best fits their adventure."

We're looking forward to the 2020 Explorer arriving at our Ford dealership, which is located at 1450 North Mitchell Street in Cadillac MI and a convenient drive for our customers from the Houghton Lake, Harrison MI, and Roscommon MI areas.
