How Often Should I Change My Engine Oil

As technology advances, we see more and more improvements with the automotive industry. In the past it was very common for vehicle engines to require an oil change every 3,000 miles or so. Thanks to the advent of synthetic blended oil, this is thankfully no longer the case. If you are using a vehicle that utilizes a synthetic blend or a full synthetic oil, you should be weary of the old "3,000 mile myth."

While it is a common misconception that you have to change your engine oil every 3,000 miles, it is by no means a bad thing to do so. Even though it is possible today, using synthetic engine oil, to go up to 8,000 miles without an oil change, it can't hurt your vehicle to do it more often.

Stop on in at Fox Ford of Cadillac to find out exactly how often you should change your engine oil for your daily driver.
