What's New for 2020?

There are a number of changes that come to the 2020 Ford Explorer, and the most notable of the bunch is that it features a new frame, doing away with the previous body-on-frame setup. Now the new Ford Explorer offers a new unibody frame with standard rear-wheel drive. This means you'll get a more comfortable ride and a more capable performance.

Performance

The Expedition features four engine options for Cadillac drivers to peruse, including one hybrid engine option. All-wheel drive is optional is available to add if you would prefer a more capable drive around Michigan and beyond.

  • 2.3-liter inline four-cylinder with 300 horsepower
  • 3.0-liter V6 with 365 horsepower
  • 3.3-liter V6 hybrid paired to a 44-horsepower electric motor
  • 400 horsepower twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 available on the ST trim level

Capabilities

Offering Harrison, MI drivers seating for up to seven, the new Explorer is capable of transporting a solid number of passengers. The Explorer is capable of hauling more than just people, though! Looking to hitch a small trailer to your Explorer for a weekend camping trip? When properly equipped, the Explorer can tow up to 5,600 pounds! Beyond this, drivers can look to the Explorer as a solid off-road vehicle. From its powerful engine to its available or standard all-wheel drive, the Explorer is ready to take on the great outdoors and the long asphalt highway.

Technology

Roscommon, MI drivers can enjoy the Ford Safe and Smart package, a SYNC 3 infotainment system, a hands-free/ foot-activated liftgate, SecuriCode keyless entry, a 180-degree camera, and a Sony audio system. Plus, there are many, many other available tech features available to Cadillac drivers.

Drivers can look to an array of driver assistance features that come in the form of Safe and Smart package. The Safe and Smart package includes the following driver assistance features: forward-collision mitigation, lane-keeping alert, and adaptive cruise control. Additional features include leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, push-button start, and dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control.
