Get to Know the New, 2019 Ford Ranger
A lot has changed in automotive engineering in the ten
years since the Ranger last graced our dealership floor, but this truck
hasn't missed a beat. The new Ranger is current on all the latest
trends, from materials, to technology, to safety features.
The 2019 Ford Ranger is available in three trim levels, and
in your choice of either an extended SuperCab with smaller backseat and
a six-foot long bed, or a four-door crew cab with full-sized backseat
and a five-foot long bed. Here in the Cadillac, MI area, our customers
get their pick of the following trim level options:
- Ford Ranger XL
- Ford Ranger XLT
- Ford Ranger Lariat
Regardless of the cab and bed style or trim configuration
you choose, all new Ford Ranger trucks come powered by the same,
turbocharged 2.3-liter engine rated for 270 horsepower and 310
pound-feet of torque. They are all also paired exclusively to a smooth,
ten-speed automatic transmission
Ford Ranger Capabilities
The Ford Ranger may be a light-duty pickup, but don't
mistake that to mean this truck is a lightweight when it comes to
utility.
The new Ranger is designed to be more powerful and capable
than the previous model, and nowhere is that more obvious than in its
7,500-pound towing capacity and 2,128-pound maximum payload capacity.
Add in an optional Trailer Tow Package, which equips the truck with a
multi-pin wiring harness and a Class IV trailer hitch, and the 2019
Ranger is a complete package of capability, and a drastic improvement
over what the previous model could do.
