The Ford Escape returns in 2026 with very few updates. The most significant change is that the Base trim level is dropped, leaving the Active, ST-Line, and Platinum as the available models for new Ford Escape SUVs.
Interior
Inside the Ford Escape, drivers and passengers are treated to a well-equipped, comfortable space. A durable textured cloth upholstery comes standard, but high-end models have soft leatherette upholstery. There is spacious seating for up to five passengers and a rear cargo hold that can fit groceries, gear, and more. The star of the interior is the impressive 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen that is standard on the Platinum trim. The newest Sync 4 software continuously updates automatically with over-the-air updates and provides wireless Apple CarPlay© and Android Auto™ on all models.
Exterior
On the outside, the Ford Escape is sleek and athletic, with slim LED headlamps and a small light strip that runs horizontally across the hood. The Active trim level has standard 17-inch wheels with the highest tier, Platinum, sporting attractive 19-inch alloy wheels. As many as eight paint colors are available for the new Ford Escape, including flashy options like Race Red or Vapor Blue Metallic. Moving around to the back, owners will appreciate the convenience of a rear cargo power liftgate.
